18/05/11 - The Greek Interministerial Committee for Asset Restructuring and Privatisations (ICARP) has decided to proceed with the selection of privatization advisors in order to expedite the public real estate and asset privatisations programme. Deutsche Bank and the National Bank of Greece were requested to explore a stake sale in state gaming monopoly OPAP, while Credit Suisse and Eurobank will advise on the creation of a new company to run state.

12/05/11 – The new Gambling Act was formally adopted in Spain. The new law, which was initially conceived to regulate the Spanish online gambling market will in practice, however, also interfere on land-based  operations.  A   set   of  at least 12 additional developing regulations will now have to be discussed and approved, in a process that is expected to last between 8 to 10 months.
